Can someone please tell me how to take pictures from my online photo album, and turn them into jpg, or gif, so that I can use them on message boards? Thanks!

Well, you can pull an image up in your favorite image program, ie paint, adobe... And when you go to click 'save as', you should be able to select the format to save it as. Then when you load it to your server, it will be in that format. However, if you are using an outside source to host your images for free ie imagestation, angelfire... then you are at their mercy as to how they 'extend' the photo. Their hosting software could automatically turn your image into a .png or .gif or .jpg... and all you work was for not. Also, when you do host your image on an outside source, some of them do not allow 'hot-linking' so when you do get the command line for your image and place it on a web site/message board, what will actually appear might be the x of death or their logo or a message stating it won't hot-link. The two hosts I mentioned above do allow hot-linking, and MSN usually does as well. But, sites like webshots do not allow hot-linking. Hope this helps a little.

Hmmm, I might not have actually answered your question properly. Let's try again. If your album does allow hot-linking; find the image you want, right click on it (in your album), click properties, copy everything after ADDRESS:, then on this board you would use the [*img]URLHERE[/*img] command, replacing URLHERE with what you copied. On a site that accepts HTML, you would use <img src=URLHERE> Maybe that helps?
