If you like the Harry Potter books, you should read anything by Bellairs.
The House with a Clock in its Walls is especially good. His books are written for the same audience, 10-15 or thereabouts, but I know adults who enjoy them still. Me included.

I've never heard of that author before.
I like mystery stories. I read EVERYTHING Patricia Cornwell writes, and I am also a Huge Iris Johansen fan. Forensics just capture my imagination.
Like the books by Dr. Baden. He has investigated many many famous cases, and solved them with the slightest of forensic evidence. That man is amazing.
But, back on topic now~~ I like Harry Potter books too. SOmetimes escapism is fun. I'll try and see if our library has any Bellaire books on its shelves.
thanks again Sagan!
