What type of test did they do? If they did a urinalyisis it could quite possibly come out wrong......blood testing is the sure fire way.....It also depends on the time of day, was it her first "pee of the day" was it in the middle of the day? Pregnancy hormones can be driven out simply by dilution....liquids....food..etc...

When she first went to the doctor, a home pregnancy test was positive. the urinalysis at the doctor was positive, but the serology was negative. But now, all three of her tests are positive. I thought serology was always accurate? Oh well.....all I know is, this time she is REALLY pregnant. She has the iron tablets and thumb sized vitamins to prove it. LOL

Well..........it looks like you cant start calling me grandma just yet. Jake and Kelli lost their baby on Friday night. The doctors assured them that there doesnt appear to be any reason why they cant conceive again, which is good news. Strangely enough, the nurse told us that 3 women miscarried on Friday night. She thinks that the lunar eclipse had something to do with it. what do you think about that?

I am really sorry to hear that Tammi. You know, I miscarried once and the doctors really can't give an explantion unless there is something obviously wrong. But they did tell me that it is far more common these days for woman to miscarry their first pregnancy. It is probably going to be hard for her talk about it for awhile, but then later when she wants to talk about it just be there to listen. I think that is what helped me cope, talking about it after a few months.

Thanks, Tina. Right now, she isnt talking much, and Jake said he doesnt know what to say to her to make it better. He's not taking it very well, himself. I just feel so bad for them, and there isnt anything anyone can do.

Julie and I had a miscarry last year in June. The doctor couldn't tell us why either. But, the doctor did tell us 1/4 of all pregnancies end with a miscarriage. However, I just found THIS REPORT which states... It's a scary fact, but it helps to know she's not alone. And, out of the babies that do make it... per March of Dimes

Jason felt the same way Jake does right now, and unfortunately there is nothing he can say or do to make her feel better. Right now she doesn't see it as the both of them lost a baby, she feels that "she" did something wrong and lost her baby. It took me a few months before I even wanted to be intimate again because I was scared of getting pregnant again and going through it all over.

I really had no idea it was so common. At least I can assure them, that the two of you had similar situations, and went on to have babies of your own. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear that Tam-Tam. God has a plan and I am sure He will bless them with a child in the future. There is a reason for everything.

Kelli had a dr appt this afternoon in Temple. They gave her a really good report. The doc said she looked good, and her tests came back with good results. He told both of them, that he sees no reason why they shouldnt have a healthy baby sometime in the future. Dr. Skowe put her on the pill for now, to get her cycle back to normal. Thanks for all the words of encouragement. It really does help to know I have you guys to talk to.
