Get used to a lot of coverage of this issue. The Chimp is going to run on it.
Can't talk about Iraq or education or the environment or jobs or the economy or foreign policy or the deficit. Those are all cataclysmic failures of the Chimp's policies.
So what's left to campaign on? Get those hom'sexshuals! They're an abominonation before GAWD!
It's the only way the Chimp has to energize his far-right, bible-thumping, negro-lynching, vote-Republican-at-any-cost base.
Ain't that right, Baloooooo? ;D

I think they can get married all they want, as long as it is not recognized as a "Holy Matrimony" Legalities are one thing... but trying to get it recognized by the church.... that is another. WOW! I posted my opinion on a politics thread!!! I must trust you people not to SLAM me.... *waits for the slams to start*.....

I was talking to Julie last night and I said "I don't see anything wrong with same-sex marriages" and she said "It's not moral" and I said.... "That's your opinion".... and the conversation stopped right there ¦¥
It's true though. It all goes back to my whole wondering about prostitution as well. To some, it's not moral, but it's an opinion. If two concenting adults want to engage in sex and one wants to get paid for it, how is that wrong? I mean, I morally see that that's not right, but that's my morals, maybe it's not their morals. It's the same concept. If two concenting adults want to get 'legally' married, it's their choice. It may not be mine, but it is theirs.
I've always wondered this about prostitution... Pornography is legal, so if women were to want to be in a man's movie, would it be legal for him to pay her, do the deed, then pay her for her 'movie' servces? or for the movie its self? Isn't that the same as a porno? Just a thought.

I think the prostitution thing is more about trying to control diseases. If they made it mandatory to test once a week or something, you KNOW if it was legal, they would skip it or get around it somehow.
Then look look at people like John Holmes..... who find out they DO have aids.... but continue making movies.... how can THAT be regulated?

Nice post bear.....
Who does decide what is "moral" ? Christanity? Here's my take. Just live and let live, why are we ( Americans) consistantly in peoples bedrooms all of the time? What would be so horrible about letting two people who love each other be together?
Here's another question.....how do you define marriage?
